Happy Sunday!

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I purchased 10 lbs of freshly picked Blueberries yesterday and now I need to either prepare and freeze them in mini-pies or freeze them for later use in cooking. I will freeze at least 5 lbs because I don't want to spend all day and night baking! I am looking forward to tasting the next batch of blueberries from this grower because these blueberries are really good.  The last pick of the season should be even better! One of the joys of summer is fresh fruits and vegetables. Yum!!!

I enjoyed seeing this visitor in my garden...

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you a spectacular week!

Hello Weekend!

It's Friday and that means the weekend is here! What do you have planned? There is no rain scheduled until Monday so the weekend is ripe for gardening and grilling. Yay!!!

One of my brothers is an avid bowler. I made this shadow box card with him as my inspiration.

Happy Father's Day!

Now to get busy making cards for the other two. Thanks for stopping by and I love reading comments.

XOXO,
Shirley

Squirrels love Krispy Kreme Donuts

June 5th was National Doughnut Day and I had no donuts. Hmm. My favorite places, Glazed and Infused and Stan's Donuts are all sold out by now. (Got to hit these places early). Okay, I am going to Jewels any way so why not pick up a box of Krispy Kreme? Wrong!!! The donuts were terrible!  Into the trash can they go.

My husband was on his way out and was taking the garbage with him. He put the trash bag on the back porch because he forgot something and had to come back inside. About 10 minutes later, he went back to back porch to take the trash bag to garbage can. I heard a 'wow' and ran to the porch to see that the trash bag had a big hole and its contents were scattered about the porch. I looked around and saw a squirrel running off with a whole doughnut in its mouth!

Just a reminder that someone's garbage is another's treasure.

Racing to the Finish Line

Happy Sunday to all my scrapping peeps! Thanks for stopping by. This week at the Outlawz CAS challenge, it's all about sports and masculine cards.  My husband, like most men, is into a lot different types of sports. However, he has always loved auto racing, especially Formula 1. I have become fond of this sport also , attending F1 races at Indy, Detroit, Elkhart Lake, Milwaukee and Chicago. Wish I could have been in Monte Carlo recently to see Lewis Hamilton race the streets of Monte Carlo . LOL. I would love to see any F1 race in Monte Carlo. Hamilton did not win that race but if I were there, he may have. At any rate it would still have been party over there. Yay!! What a beautiful  place and an awesome race.

This is my last week as a guest designer at the Outlawz.  It was a great experience for me. Thanks for the opportunity. Here is my submission for the challenge.

Why not head over to The Outlawz and enter this week's challenge HERE .  Hope you like it and you are racing to a great finish! Love ya and see you soon. I love to see your comments so please leave one.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  “Thank You” to the members of our armed forces, active and veterans, for your service to our country. You risked life and limb to keep us safe. We can never repay you for your service but we should never stop trying.

This week’s challenge at The Outlawz is R& R.  That’s Ribbon and the color Red. It was a lot of fun trying to decide how I was going to design this card.  Hope you like how it turned out.  I appreciate that you stopped by and would love for you to leave a comment.

Have a Blessed weekend with family and friends.

Where is the warmer weather?

It is coming soon to a town near you. I am ready to shed the winter blues. But that was yesterday...today there is sun! Yes, the weather is getting better, daylight savings time, more sunlight and soon there will be flowers. Hope you are experiencing better weather in your area, too.

Here is a card that I made recently. The image is from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson,

Wishing you clear and sunny days ahead.  Please come back again.

XOXO,

Shirley

Let it Snow...Oh so lightly!

Happy Sunday! Thanks for coming over through all the snow. This excessive snow can stop falling on my city, my state, my region - any time now!  An inch or two of snow is okay but not a foot or more  of snow!!

Exhale. Spring is just around the corner. Yay! Until then...what have you been up to?

I purchased a couple of new plants on line for my outdoor garden. If you have seen my garden, you would ask, 'Why?' There are too many plants now. I love strange and colorful plants. If  I see them, then I want them in my garden. It is the same emotion that overcomes me when I see a new craft tool. Speaking of crafts, here is a card that I made for a challenge at Outlawz.  The digi is by Robert Jackson. I used Anna Griffin embossing folder and die cut.
